Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 1) 1985-86

PURSUANT to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regulations 1973*, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby give notice as follows:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 1) 1985-86.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of January 1985.

  1. Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff Items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of Australia, are hereby exempted from the requirements of a licence under the said regulations.

  2. The exemptions from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of Australia, included in the exemption notices shown in the Second Schedule are hereby withdrawn.

Flours or meals of oil seeds or oleaginous fruit not defatted (excluding mustard flour)
Flower and vegetable seeds in retail packs
Glucose all kinds
Potatoes prepared or preserved, otherwise than by vinegar or acetic acid
Nuts whether or not roasted
Vermouths
Sheep and cattle licks
Common salt, not iodised (excluding refined salt, not iodised in packs 4.5 kg or less)
Pure sodium chloride
Kaolin (excluding calcined flint clay)
Bentonite
All goods of Tariff Heading No. 25.20 other than gypsum and anhydrite
Quicklime, slaked lime and hydraulic lime, other than calcium oxide and hydroxide
