NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the
above-named company by the High Court was, on the 19th day of
October 1984, presented to the said Court by THE MANOR HOUSING
COMPANY LIMITED, a duly incorporated company having its
registered office at corner of Victoria and Broadway Avenues,
Palmerston North; and that the said petition is directed to be heard
before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 5th day of December
1984 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory
of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of
an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in
person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition
will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory
of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated
charge for the same.

AND IN THE MATTER OF AN APPLICATION BY THE NEW ZEALAND
GUARDIAN TRUST COMPANY LIMITED (AS SUCCESSOR OF THE SOUTH
BRITISH GUARDIAN TRUST COMPANY LIMITED), a duly
incorporated company having its registered office at Auckland:
NOTICE is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 4th day of December
1984 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon the above-named applicant will
apply to the High Court at Auckland for an order approving of the
following scheme:
It is proposed that the special trust set up under and by virtue
of Clause 5 of the Deed of Trust bearing date the 14th day of
February 1931 between Charles Thomas Major and The Guardian
Trust and Executors Company of New Zealand Limited, and the
income derived therefrom be applied in the manner set out in a
certain Deed of Arrangement bearing date the 1st day of July 1982
between The South British Guardian Trust Company Limited and
the Kings College Trustees, the essential terms of which appear
hereunder:
(a) The re-establishment of “The Caughey Scholarship” and “The
Myers Bankart Scholarship”, and
(b) The value of each scholarship to be $500 per annum or such
sum from time to time to be determined by the Kings
College Trustees, and
(c) The scholarships to be awarded by the Board of Governors
of Kings College, Auckland for alternate 4 year terms, and
(d) The terms and conditions on which the scholarships are
awarded and held to be the same as hereinbefore, namely
that they shall be boarding scholarships open to boys from
any primary school, primary department of a district high
school or intermediate school under the age of 14 years
on the 1st day of June in the year the scholarship is taken
up, and
(e) The New Zealand Guardian Trust Company Limited as
successor of the South British Guardian Trust Company
Limited (which in turn was the successor of The Guardian
Trust and Executors Company Limited) as Trustee to have
a discretionary power to apply a portion of the income
from the said special trust fund to the Campbell Scholarship
should such scholarship cease to be self-sufficient.
If any person desires to oppose the above-mentioned scheme they
must give written notice of their intention to do so to the Registrar
of this Court, the applicant herein, and the Attorney-General, not
less than 7 days before the date of the hearing as specified above.
