His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour made after consultation with the unions, associations, and organisations referred to in section 5 of that Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

Title—This order may be cited as the New Zealand Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Incorporated), Taranaki Branch Order 1984.

Exemption—The New Zealand Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Incorporated), Taranaki Branch an organisation approved* by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption in respect of its sheltered workshop at Broadway North, Stratford from:
(a) All the provisions of every award and agreement that would otherwise apply to persons employed in that workshop; and
(b) The Minimum Wage Act 1945, the Holidays Act 1981, and sections 10 (2) (b) and 15 of the Factories and Commercial Premises Act 1981.

Appointment to the Council for Maori and South Pacific Arts—Extraordinary Vacancy
Pursuant to section 25 (c) (3) and (4) of the Queen Elizabeth the Second Arts Council of New Zealand Amendment Act 1978, the Minister for the Arts has appointed
Kuru Waaka
as the Chairman for the Council for Maori and South Pacific Arts for a term of office commencing on the 30th day October 1984 and expiring on the 31st day of March 1985.
