Assumption of Office by the Administrator of the Government

THE Right Honourable Sir Ronald Keith Davison, G.B.E., C.M.G., the Chief Justice of New Zealand, having taken on the 18th day of November 1983, the first occasion on which he was required to act as Administrator of the Government, the oaths directed to be taken by the Governor-General, announces that, as from 10.15 a.m. on the 19th day of October 1984, he has, following the departure of His Excellency the Governor-General for a visit to Niue, assumed, under clause XII of the Letters Patent constituting the office of Governor-General, the office of Administrator of the Government. (By Command).
