  1. There will be a prohibition on networking in terms of section 714 (3) but with an exception as provided in most private warrants. This permits networking news.

  2. Any prospectus to be issued by the applicant will require the prior approval by the Tribunal as to any references to the Tribunal and the grant of the warrant.

  3. The warrant holder shall not substantially depart from the basic format and content of its proposed programmes or the type or the extent of the services intended to be provided at the time of the grant of the warrant without the prior consent of the Broadcasting Tribunal and subject to any conditions that the Tribunal might impose in the public interest.

  4. A condition limiting news media company shareholding to 30 percent of the warrant holder will be in the form recently adopted by a number of stations.

The warrant will be issued when the station is ready to commence broadcasting.

Co-opted Member

M. J. Henshall was co-opted as a person whose qualifications and experience were likely to be of assistance to the Tribunal in determining the applications. He took part in the hearing and the deliberations of the Tribunal but the decision is that of the permanent members.

Minimum and Trigger Prices for Export Meat (No. 3356; Ag. 4/52/3/1)

THE Meat Export Prices Committee, after having consulted with the Minister of Agriculture and pursuant to sections 13 and 14 (1) of the Meat Export Prices Act 1976, hereby gives notice that it has determined that the bench mark grades, and the minimum and trigger prices for these grades, of meat intended for export for the 1984–85 season, commencing on 1 October 1984, shall be as follows:

The price levels determined for lamb and mutton are on an “ex-scales” basis while the prices determined for the beef categories are on a “delivered to works” basis.
