Appointment of Parliamentary Under-Secretary

PURSUANT to the Civil List Act 1979, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint:

Edward Emanuel Isbey, Esquire, of Papatoetoe, a member of the House of Representatives, to be a Parliamentary Under-Secretary in relation to the office of the Minister of Immigration.

Reappointment of Manufacturers’ Representative on the Tobacco Board

PURSUANT to section 4 and section 5 of the Tobacco Growing Industry Act 1974, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby reappoints

Alfred James Mitchell, Leaf Manager of Wellington,

being a person nominated by the tobacco manufacturers, to be a manufacturers’ representative on the Tobacco Board for a term of 3 years commencing on the 1st day of September 1984.

Reappointment of Growers’ Representative on the Tobacco Board

PURSUANT to section 4 and section 5 of the Tobacco Growing Industry Act 1984, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby reappoints

Jack Lawson Inglis, tobacco grower of Riwaka,

being a person nominated by the New Zealand Tobacco Growers’ Federation in accordance with section 6 of the said Act, to be a growers’ representative on the Tobacco Board for a term of 3 years commencing on 1 September 1984.

Appointing and Reappointing Members and Their Deputies to the Engineering Associates Registration Board

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Engineering Associates Registration Board 1961, the Minister of Works and Development hereby reappoints:

Ian Bruce McKenzie of Wellington, senior design draughtsman, as Mr Burgess’ deputy, on the nomination of the New Zealand Institute of Draughtsmen (Incorporated); and

Walter Osborne Askew of Christchurch, company director, as member, and

Norman John Cooper of Wellington, engineer, as Mr Askew’s deputy, on the nomination of the New Zealand Institute of Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (Incorporated); and

John Vernon Edgar of Wellington, marketing director, as member, on the nomination of the New Zealand Institute of Mechanical Engineers

for a further term of 2 years from the 9th day of November 1984, and further hereby appoints:

William McEwan of Wellington, tutor

as deputy to John Vernon Edgar, above named on the nomination of the New Zealand Institute of Mechanical Engineers for a term of 2 years from the 9th day of November 1984.
