Declaring Land in Wellington Land District, Vested in the Wellington Education Board as a Site for a Public School, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wellington Education Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—DANNEVIRKE COUNTY
2.6861 hectares, more or less, being Sections 9, 10, 11, 12 and 18, Town of Makukupara, situated in Block III, Mount Cerberus Survey District. Public school site by New Zealand Gazette, 1899, page 704. S.O. Plan 14324.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 29th day of August 1984.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour made after consultation with the unions, associations, and organisations referred to in section 5 of that Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

Title—This order may be cited as the New Zealand Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Incorporated), Taranaki Branch (No. 2) Order 1984.

Exemption—The New Zealand Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Incorporated), Taranaki Branch an organisation approved* by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, under its former name of the Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society (Taranaki Branch) Incorporated is hereby granted exemption in respect of its sheltered workshop at King Street, Opunake from—
(a) All the provisions of every award and agreement that would otherwise apply to persons employed in that workshop; and
(b) The Minimum Wage Act 1945, the Holidays Act 1981, and sections 10 (2) (b) and 15 of the Factories and Commercial premises Act 1981.

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.
ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY
Commander D. N. Wood to be acting Captain with effect from 28 July 1984.
The appointment of Lieutenant Commander B. A. Ward is extended to 13 July 1987.
Lieutenant Commander Joe Murray is placed on the Retired List with effect from 12 June 1984.
Lieutenant Commander (temp. Commander) C. L. Stewart to be Commander with seniority and effect from 30 June 1984.
