With exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 for the carriage of wool from any point of pick-up within a 40 kilometre radius of Pongaroa to any point of set-down within a 30 kilometre radius of Napier City.

The Hon. Minister of Railways, Wellington. Amend Continuous Passenger Service Licence No. 3680 as follows:

  1. Amend route to read "Napier - Hastings - Palmerston North - Wellington".

  2. Authorise additional service as follows:

Monday to Friday—Napier depart 5.15 p.m.; Hastings depart 5.45 p.m.; Palmerston North arrive 8.30 p.m.; Palmerston North depart 8.45 p.m.; Wellington arrive 11 p.m.

Tuesday to Saturday—Wellington depart 2 a.m.; Palmerston North arrive 4.15 a.m.; Palmerston North depart 4.30 a.m.; Hastings arrive 7 a.m.; Napier arrive 7.30 a.m.

  1. The intention is that the service shall carry parcels, mails and newspapers and that this has the effect of an exemption from section 109 of the Transport Act 1962.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the No. 2 Transport Licensing Authority, J.M. Foster, gives notice of the receipt of the following applications and will hold a public sitting in the Courthouse, Thames at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, 4 September 1984 to hear evidence for or against the granting of them.

Ian Francis and Christine Dorothy McFadgen. A new Goods Transport Service Licence with exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 to carry export fresh cut flowers, strictly door to door from growers from Whakatane, Te Puke, Tauranga and Katikati to Mogalair Depot, Mangere, Auckland. Pick-up time between 3 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. Delivery by 8.30 a.m. Monday to Friday and at peak times on Wednesday by 8.30 a.m. commencing end of July to end of November.

Provincial Transport Ltd. Amend V.A. 201051 being part of Continuous Goods Service Licence No. 20417 with exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 for the carriage of up to 2000 kg of general goods between Hamilton and Paeroa, Thames or Waihi when such goods have been or are to be conveyed by rail to or from the Hamilton Railways Freight Terminal pursuant to Daily Freightways bulk tonnage contract with the Railways Corporation.

Wayne Longley, William Sorensen Ltd., Arthur Charles Clark, Kerry Powell Ltd., Brent Quinlan, Roger C. R. Renal! Ltd., Barry Thomas Bryant, Gregory Molloy, Dallas Clive Guest, John Gregory Killen. Amend the Goods Service Licence to read:

  1. Class of Goods: General Goods.

  2. Area: New Zealand Two Vehicle Authorities (one of trailer only).

  3. Special Condition: Exempt from the provisions of regulation 17 (1) (b) of the Transport Licensing Regulations 1963 for the carriage of heavy machinery subject to the exemption under section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 as amended by extending the maximum hours to 14, provided that no one driver is so engaged on more than 4 occasions in any period of 4 weeks.

  4. Special Condition:

(a) Exempt from the provisions of section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 as amended throughout New Zealand for the transport of:
