Transport Licensing Authority Sittings

PURSUANT to section 121 and 135 of the Transport Act 1962, the No. 2 Transport Licensing Authority (J. M. Foster) gives notice of the receipt of an application by the Auckland Regional Authority to amend all present Passenger Transport Service Licences as detailed in Schedules 1 and 2 following and will hold a public sitting in the Conference Room, Ninth Floor, Customhouse Building, Quay Street, Auckland at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 21st August 1984, to hear evidence for or against the granting of it.

SCHEDULE 1

ROUTES AND LOCALITIES TO BE SERVED TIMETABLES TO BE OBSERVED CONDITIONS AS TO SET DOWN AND PICK UP PLACES

As set out in the 27 separate timetable leaflets published by the Authority and dated September 1984, and listed on Appendix 'A' attached hereto.

Additional Trips

The licensee is authorised to operate additional trips on any of these routes, in order to meet traffic requirements. These trips may be operated on an 'Express' or "Flyer" basis and restrictions on picking up and setting down of passengers may be effected.

Service Adjustments

In order to give the licensee the flexibility to quickly respond to changing demands for commuter traffic the following provisions shall apply:

In respect of any trip or trips which operate primarily for the transport of workers or school pupils, the licensee is authorised to exercise one or more of the following options:

Vary the departure time of the trip(s).

Combine one or more trips into a lesser number of trips.

Vary the route of the trip(s).

Vary the destination of the trip(s).

Vary any pickup or setdown restrictions for the trip(s).

Provided that in every case where this power is exercised, the licensee will make every endeavour to notify regular users of the trip or trips in question. (This will normally be accomplished by handing a copy of the amendment to each user of the trip, prior to the change).

Provided further that the licensee will forward to the Licensing Authority a monthly return of service adjustments introduced uder the authority of the provision.
