HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR AN ESSENTIAL WORK
Pursuant to Section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981

  1. Notice is hereby given that the Hawke’s Bay County Council
    proposes to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1981,
    the land described in the Schedule hereto.

  2. The land is required for road and it is intended to use the land
    for the purposes of a deviation between Anderson Road and
    Ruahapia Road.

  3. Plans of the land intended to be taken are open for public
    inspection during ordinary office hours at the offices of the Hawke’s
    Bay County Council situate in Browning Street, Napier.

  4. The reasons why the Hawke’s Bay County Council considers
    it essential to take the land are as follows—

(a) The land will be used for a road forming part of the roading
network of the area.

(b) The road is or will be of material advantage to the area and
will promote traffic safety.

(c) The road is intended to overcome difficulties as to design and
location arising from the existing roading network.

  1. Persons objecting to the taking of the land should send their
    written objections to the Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Tribunals
    Division, Justice Department, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington
    within 20 working days after the 11th day of July 1984.

  2. If an objection is made a public hearing of the objection will
    be held unless the objector gives written notice to the Tribunal that
    they want the hearing held in private.

  3. If an objection is made—

(a) The objector will be advised of the time and place of the
hearing; and

(b) The objector will have the right to appear and be heard
personally or to be represented by a barrister and solicitor
or other person they authorise.

Chapman.

The objects of the bill are to enable Ralph Arthur Longley and
Emily Waimunga Longley to adopt Lorraine Janet Chapman and
Leanne Gail Chapman the children of Emily Waimunga Longley.

The bill is promoted by Ralph Arthur Longley and Emily
Waimunga Longley and any communications or notices to the
promoters may be sent to the offices of their Solicitors, Messrs
Johnson, Hooper & Co., P.O. Box 945, Whangarei (Attention: Mr
Dukeson) and a copy of the Bill may be inspected at those offices
between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
