Appointment of Members to Extraordinary Vacancies on the Joint Council for Local Authorities Services

PURSUANT to sections 4, 5 and 6 of the Joint Council for Local Authorities Services Act 1977, the Minister of Local Government hereby appoints the following persons to be members of the Joint Council for Local Authorities Services:

John Thomas Hogg, of Marton, in place of Archibald John Gillies

on the joint nomination of the officer groups specified in Part II of the First Schedule to the Act, with a term of office to expire on 30 September 1984; and

Rex Stratton Kirton, of Upper Hutt, in place of Murray Newton Scott

on the joint nomination of the Municipal Association of New Zealand Incorporated, the New Zealand Counties Association Incorporated, the Auckland Regional Authority, and any Regional Councils, with a term of office to expire on 30 September 1985.
