PURSUANT to section 72 (6) of the Commerce Act 1975, notice is hereby given that the Examiner of Commercial Practices has consented to the following merger and takeover proposals.

Proposal
Ballin Rattray Ltd. may acquire the Blenheim Wholesale Liquor Business of Pyne, Gould, Guinness Ltd.
Cavalier Eico Ltd. may acquire all of the share capital and voting power of Cavalier Corporation Ltd. and E Lichtenstein and Company Ltd.

Chubb New Zealand Ltd. may acquire all the shares of the Mills-Tui Group
Landmark Properties Ltd. may acquire up to 40 percent of the shares in Investment Finance Corporation Ltd.
Owens Group Ltd. may acquire up to 44 percent of the shareholding and voting power in N.Z. Maritime Holdings Ltd.

Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 4) 1984β85
PURSUANT to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regulations 1973*, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives notice as follows:
-
(a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 5) 1984β85.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of July 1984. -
Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the tariff item in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

The exemption from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the classes of goods set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exemption notice shown in the Second Schedule, is hereby withdrawn.
