Declaring Additional Land Taken for Railway Purposes at Awatoto and Not Now Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
PURSUANT to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and section 42 of the Public Works Act 1981, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation with the prior written consent of the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948.

PURSUANT to section 50 (2) (b) of the Local Government Act 1974, the Minister of Local Government hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Waitemata City Boundaries Alteration Notice 1984.

The boundaries of Waitemata City are hereby altered by including within the said city, the four areas of land described in the Schedule hereto, being land reclaimed from the sea.

The Standards Act 1965—Amendment to Overseas Specification Available for Comment
PURSUANT to sub-section (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned amendment to an overseas specification is being considered for declaration as a New Zealand amendment.
Number and Title of Specification
NZS 6705:--- (IEC 598:---) Luminaires—
Part 2: Particular requirements—
Section 3: (IEC 598:Pt.2: Section 3: 1979) Luminaires for road and street lighting.
IEC 598 (all parts) Luminaires is currently awaiting approval from the Minister of Energy for declaration as a New Zealand Standard (to be NZS 6705).
The IEC has now issued Amendment No. 1 (December 1983) to IEC 598: Part 2: Section 3:1979 Luminaires for road and street lighting.
Definitions are added for span wire, suspension wire, and stay wire, and alterations made to the relevant text.
All persons who may be affected by this amendment and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street, (or Private Bag), Wellington.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 13 April 1984.

Notice of Revocation of Licence for an Old People's Home
PURSUANT to regulation 31 (1) of the Old People’s Homes Regulations 1980, and pursuant to the power delegated to me under section 5A of the Health Act 1956 (as inserted by section 2 of the Health Amendment Act 1979), by the Deputy Director-General of Health, on 13 October 1980, I, Margaret Winn Guthrie, after giving notice, pursuant to regulation 31 (2) of the Old People’s Homes Regulations 1980, dated 1 December 1983 of proposed revocation of your licence No. 2325, dated 1 December 1982, in respect of ‘Lakeside’ Rest Home, and after giving you Stella Catherine Baker a reasonable opportunity to show cause why the licence should not be revoked, and being satisfied that:
- The standard of care available to the residents in the home is unsatisfactory;
- Residents have been ill-treated in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering;
- The premises of the home are in such a condition that the revocation of the licence is required in the interests of the residents;
- The home no longer conforms in all respects with the minimum standards prescribed in the regulations.
