The Road Classification (Ohinemuri County), Notice No. 1, 1983

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974*, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, hereby give the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Ohinemuri County) Notice No. 1, 1983.

  2. The Ohinemuri County Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

  3. The notice dated the 23rd day of September 1969† which relates to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

OHINEMURI COUNTY

Roads Classified in Class Two

ALL roads under the control of the Ohinemuri County Council.

Revoking Declaration of State Highway and Declaring Motorway to be State Highway

PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works and Development, gives notice that Part II of the Second Schedule of the notice dated 29 October 1982, published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 133, 11 November 1982, p. 3716, is hereby varied insofar that the State highway described in the First Schedule hereto is revoked and the motorway described in the Second Schedule hereto is declared to be a State highway, within the meaning and for the purposes of the National Roads Act.

FIRST SCHEDULE

No. 16 State Highway (Auckland - Wellsford)—that portion of the Great North Road in the City of Auckland commencing at the Auckland - Kumeu Motorway Ramp Terminals at Western Springs and proceeding westwards for a distance of approximately 800 metres and including the motorway connection east of Motions Road.

SECOND SCHEDULE

No. 16 State Highway (Auckland - Wellsford)—that portion of the Auckland - Kumeu Motorway in the City of Auckland from Western Springs and proceeding generally in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately one kilometre connecting with State Highway 16 at a location south of the junction of Motions Road and the Great North Road, and including the on and off ramps at Western Springs.
