Appointment of the Minister of Internal Affairs to Control and Manage a Reserve and Declaration that the said Reserve shall be subject to the Provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints the Minister of Internal Affairs to control and manage the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve for Government purpose (wildlife management) and further declares that the said reserve shall be subject to the provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—WAIKATO COUNTY—LAKE WAIKARE WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT RESERVE

62.8800 hectares, more or less, being Allotments 728 and 729, Whangamarino Parish, situated in Blocks III, and IV, Rangiriri Survey District. S.O. 50445.

This notice is issued in substitution for the notice dated 14 December, 1982 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 1, 20 January 1983, page 16, that notice is hereby cancelled.

Revocation of Appointment to Control and Manage a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Wellington Regional Council on the 14th day of February 1983:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Wellington Regional Council hereby resolves that the pieces of land vested in the said Council and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be declared to be a reserve for local purpose (river protection) within the meaning of the said Act.”
