His Excellency the Administrator of the Government has announced that The Queen has been graciously pleased, on the occasion of the celebration of Her Majesty's Birthday, to confer the following honours:

CIVIL LIST

KNIGHTS BACHELOR

(John) Dean GOFFIN, of Wellington. Commissioner and Territorial Commander of the Salvation Army in New Zealand. For services to the Salvation Army.

John MOWBRAY, of Wellington. For services to banking, commerce and the community.

Laurence Houghton STEVENS, C.B.E., of Auckland. For services to the textile industry and export.

THE MOST DISTINGUISHED ORDER OF SAINT MICHAEL AND SAINT GEORGE

To be an Ordinary Member of the Second Class, or Knight Commander, of the said Most Distinguished Order:

The Right Honourable Wallace Edward ROWLING, M.P., of Richmond. Prime Minister of New Zealand 1974–75 and lately, Leader of the Opposition.
