PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Paekakariki
Ward of the Borough of Kapiti taken on the 2nd day of June 1983
on the proposal of the above-named Local Authority to raise a loan
of $250,000 to be known as the Paekakariki Water Supply Loan
1983 for the purpose of replacing the source of the Paekakariki
Water Supply, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was . . . . 189
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was . . 285
The number of informal votes was 2

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

of Otorohanga taken on the 1st day of June 1983 on the proposal
of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $750,000 to
be known as the Office Building Loan 1982, for the purpose of
carrying out alterations and additions to the Office Building Complex
and all costs incidental thereto resulted as follows—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was . . 523
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was . . 868
