to the middle of Halswell River; thence generally southerly down the
middle of that river to a point in line with the eastern boundary of part Rural Section 1350 comprised in C.T. 169/136;
thence northerly to and along that boundary to the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 27861;
thence easterly along that boundary to the western side of Kennedys Bush Road; thence easterly
along a right line across that road to the middle of that road; thence generally north-
easterly along the middle of that road and Cashmere Road to the southern boundary
of the Electoral District of Sydenham, hereinafter described; thence generally easterly along
the generally southern boundaries of that Electoral District and the Electoral Districts of
Christchurch Central and Avon hereinafter described; to the point of commencement including
all wharves and extensions seaward and also including the Chatham Islands and all adjacent
islands.
SELWYN
All that area, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the mean high water mark of the
sea, at the head of Big Bay, Block III, Pigeon Bay Survey District, in line with the middle
of a road passing through Rural Sections 27872, 33298, 24754, and 24762 being a point
on the generally eastern boundary of the Electoral District of Lyttelton, hereinbefore described;
thence generally south-easterly and south-westerly along the middle of that road and
the middle of the road passing through Rural Section 32909, Chertsey Kyle Road, Block
I, South Rakaia Survey District, thence generally north-westerly to and along the middle of
that road, No. 1 State Highway, and Mitcham Chertsey Road to the middle of Dromore Hatfield
Road, Block III, Ashburton Survey District; thence south-westerly along the middle of the
last-mentioned road and No. 1 State Highway to the middle of Dromore Methven Road, thence
north-westerly along the middle of the last-mentioned road to, and north-easterly along the
middle of Mitcham Road to the middle of a road passing through Rural Section 2125, being a point
on the boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2125, thence north-westerly to and along that boundary, the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P.
2, D.P. 2125, and the south-western side of Robertsons Road and its production to the middle
of Winchmore Lauriston Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of the last-mentioned
road, Lauriston Barrhill Road, and Oak Avenue and the production of that avenue to the middle
of the Rakaia River; thence generally westerly along the middle of that river and the middle of
the Mathias River to Mathias Pass on the summit of the Main Divide, being a point on the
south-eastern boundary of the Electoral District of West Coast, hereinbefore described; thence
generally north-easterly along that south-eastern boundary, to and along the generally south-
western boundary of the Electoral District of Rangiora, hereinbefore described, the generally
western boundary of the Electoral District of Christchurch North, Yaldhurst, Fendalton, and
Riccarton, and the generally western, southern, and eastern boundaries
of the Electoral District of Lyttelton, hereinbefore described, to the point of commencement,
including all wharves and extensions seaward and all adjacent islands.
ASHBURTON
All that area, bounded by a line commencing at McClure Peak on the summit of the Main
Divide, in Block IV, Torlesse Survey District, being a point on the south-eastern boundary of
the Electoral District of West Coast, hereinbefore described, and proceeding generally south-
easterly along the summit of the Two Thumb Range to a point being the middle line of that range,
in Block IX, Fox Survey District, thence generally north-easterly down the middle line of that
creek to the westernmost corner of Run 241; thence generally easterly along the southern
boundaries of that run, part Run 302 comprised in C.L. 529/84, Run 297, Crown land (formerly
Pack Track Reserve), Run 297 and part Run 302 comprised in C.L. 529/78, to the westernmost
corner of Run 251, situated in Block XI, Mount Peel Survey District; thence generally southerly
along the original north-eastern, eastern, and southern boundaries of Run 276 and the last-
mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Orari River; thence generally southerly
down the middle of that river to Andrews Stream; thence westerly up the middle of that stream
to the production of the western boundary of Rural Section 34447, Block VII, Four Peaks
Survey District; thence southerly along that production to the northern boundary of Rural
Section 40157; thence southerly along the western boundary of that rural section, the western boundary
of that rural section, the western boundary of Section 24, Tripp Settlement; thence westerly along
a road (at the northern end of Pack Track Reserve) and again the western boundary of the
said Section 24 and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the northern boundary of Section
25, Tripp Settlement; thence generally last-mentioned boundary produced to and north-westerly
along the north-eastern boundary of Section 26, Tripp Settlement to the middle of the Mowbray
River; thence generally north-westerly down the middle of that river to a point in line with
to and along that boundary to the north-western boundary of Section 7A, Four Peaks Settlement;
thence south-westerly along the last-mentioned boundary to the northern boundary of the said
Pack Track, and again the north-western boundary of the said Section 7A and generally
south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that Section 7A to its southernmost corner;
thence southerly along a right line to the easternmost corner of Rural Section 36094; thence
southerly along the eastern boundary of that rural section and its production to the middle
of the Opuha River; thence generally south-easterly along the middle of that river and
the Opihi River to the mean high water mark of the sea; thence southerly along the
South Pacific Ocean; thence northerly along that mean high water mark to a point in line
with the middle of Chertsey Kyle Road, Block I, South Rakaia Survey District, being a point
on the generally south-western boundary of the Electoral District of Selwyn, hereinbefore
described; thence generally north-westerly to and along that boundary and generally south-
westerly along the south-eastern boundary of the Electoral District of Selwyn, hereinbefore
described, to the point of commencement.
TIMARU
All that area, bounded by a line, commencing at the middle of the mouth of the Pareora River
and proceeding north-westerly generally up the middle of that river to a point in line with the
middle of the Cave Pareora Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of that road
to the middle of No. 8 State Highway; thence generally north-westerly along that highway
with the western boundary of part Rural Section 5209, comprised in C.T. 18B/392, thence
northerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle line of the Tengawai
River; thence westerly generally along the middle line of that river to a point in line
with the production of the western boundary of Section 35, Albury Settlement situated in Block
III, Tengawai Survey District; thence northerly along that production and that boundary to
the middle line of the road forming the northern boundary of the said Section 35; thence
generally north-westerly along the middle of that road, passing through Run 291, and following the western boundaries
of Runs 306 and 309 to a point in line with the southernmost common boundary between Run
309 and Rural Section 36465, running south-westerly from Trig S; thence generally northerly
along the eastern boundaries of Rural Section 36465, the eastern and northern boundaries of
Rural Section 36464, and the eastern boundary of Rural Section 295 to the middle of the legal
road passing through Run 295; thence generally northerly along the middle of that road
to the eastern boundary of Run 295; thence generally northerly along the last-mentioned
boundary and the generally eastern boundary of Rural Section 36085 and the last-mentioned
boundary produced to the middle of the Opihi River; thence generally north-westerly up the
middle of that river and Firewood Stream to its source at the summit of the Two Thumb Range,
being a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Electoral District of West Coast; thence
to the source of Forest Creek being a point on the generally southern boundary of the
District of Ashburton hereinbefore described; thence easterly along that south-western boundary
to the mean high water mark of the South Pacific Ocean; thence generally south-westerly along
that mean high water mark to the point of commencement and including all wharves and other
extensions seaward.
WAITAKI
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the middle of the Waitaki
River and the mean high water mark of the South Pacific Ocean and proceeding generally
south-westerly along that mean high water mark to a point in line with the middle of Awamoa
Central Road; thence generally north-westerly to and along the middle of that road and
the middle of a road passing through Rural Section 295 to a point in line with the north-eastern
boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 1572; thence north-easterly and northerly along the south-eastern and
eastern boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 5893, and the middle of No. 1 State Highway; thence
generally south-westerly along the middle of that State Highway, and its production to the
middle of the Kakanui River; thence south-westerly along the middle of that river to a point
in line with the middle of White Rocks Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of No. 1 State
Road to its intersection with the southern boundary of Block III, Oamaru Survey District;
thence westerly along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Waiareka Stream;
thence generally northerly up the middle of that stream to its intersection with the northern
boundary of Block IX, Oamaru Survey District; thence westerly along the northern boundary
of that block to the middle of the Kakanui River; thence generally southerly
and south-westerly down the middle of the Kakanui River; thence generally southerly
down the middle of the Waikari River and its production to the middle of the Kakariki River;
the North Branch of that stream to the intersection of the middle of the last-mentioned stream
with the eastern boundary of Block XIII, Waihemo Survey District; thence southerly along
