NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the High Court was, on the 13th day of April 1983, presented to the said Court by JAMES WILLIAM HARDIMAN, DISTRICT COMMISSIONER OF INLAND REVENUE at Lower Hutt; and the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Wellington on Wednesday, the 1st day of June 1983, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NEW ZEALAND WOOL BOARD

PURSUANT to regulation 15 of the Wool Industry Regulations 1978, notice is hereby given that the Adjusted Weighted Average Sale Price for the sale held on the 29th day of April 1983 at Wellington and Dunedin was 292.67 cents per kilogram (greasy basis).

As this price is below the Government’s supplementary minimum wool price of 320 cents per kilogram (greasy basis) the specified percentage for supplementation will be 9.3 percent for all wool sold at auction and nationally for privately sold wool from and including the 29th day of April 1983, until midnight on the day before the next auction sale to be held.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR TIRO STREET, KARORI

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes to take the land described below for road, being an essential work pursuant to sections 18 and 23 of the Public Works Act 1981.

The land is required to legalise that portion of formed carriageway and unformed track, known as Tiro Street, Karori, which is the remainder of the original subdivision between Messines Road and Duthie Street. It will then provide legal foot access between those roads and legal frontage to the properties along both sides of it. At the Duthie Street end, part has been taken for road widening purposes (contained in certificate of title 949/46) and an M.E.D. substation is on the Messines Road end. In so taking the land, the Council gives notice that it does not have any present or future intention to properly form any portion as road.

The last registered owners were William Grieve Duthie, Edward Duthie, Alfred Duthie, William Fry Newcombe, Isabella Wallace, and the Official Assignee in bankruptcy of Thomas Kennedy MacDonald.

The land is commonly known as Tiro Street and comprises that piece of land containing 3429 square metres, being part Section 34, Karori District and being also part of D.P. 410 and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title 48/56 (Wellington Registry) depicted as Area A on S.O. Plan 33532.

Any person having an estate or interest in the land, or any other person, may pursuant to sections 23 (3) and 23 (1) (b) of the Act respectively, object to the taking of the land by lodging a written objection to the Registrar of the Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, Private Bag, Wellington Postal Centre, within 30 working days of the date of the first publication of this notice, namely the 20th day of June 1983.

If in doubt over your rights, please consult a solicitor immediately. A plan of the land which the Council proposes to take is available for free inspection during normal office hours at the office of the City Solicitor, Seventh Floor, Municipal Office Buildings, Mercer Street, Wellington.

THE DANNEVIRKE AND DISTRICT SOLDIERS’ INSTITUTE DISSOLUTION BILL 1983

A PRIVATE BILL

  1. The promoters of this Bill are the Trustees of the Dannevirke and District Soldiers’ Institute (“The Institute”) namely: John Mills Dobson of Dannevirke, solicitor, Arthur Vivian Frederick Carr of Napier, auctioneer, Robert Arundel Simpson of Napier, retired sheepfarmer, and Samuel Walter Ellingham of Napier, retired.

  2. The promoters intend to present a petition to Parliament that the Bill be made law.

  3. The objects of the Bill are:
    (a) To dissolve the Institute;
    (b) To terminate the Trusts pursuant to which the trustees of the Institute hold certain real and personal property; and
    (c) To transfer all such real and personal property to the Dannevirke and District Returned Services Association (Incorporated).

  4. Any persons desiring to communicate with or give notice to the promoters may do so by addressing their correspondence to The Trustee, Dannevirke and District Soldiers’ Institute, care of Messrs Dobson, Smith and Co., P.O. Box 69, Dannevirke.

  5. A copy of the Bill may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of: Messrs Dobson, Smith and Co., 4 Ward Street, Dannevirke. Messrs Lloyd, Dodson and Gartrell, 9 Ward Street, Dannevirke.
