NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
notice is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers of the City of Napier
taken on the 9th day of April 1983, on the proposal of the above-
named local authority to raise a loan of $4,500,000 to be known
as the Public Library and Civic Building Extension Loan 1982 for
the purpose of financing the cost of proposed extensions to the
Civic Building resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 2437
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 2723
The number of informal votes was 25
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
