Tariff Notice No. 1983/13—Applications for Variation of Determination

NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been made for variation of current determinations of the Minister of Customs as follows:

H.O. 64713 82.02.021 Deter'n REQUESTED DETERMINATION: Carbon steel bandsaw blade (excluding high speed steel solid and high speed steel welded edge, and tungsten carbide tipped and tungsten carbide coated) for cutting meat, bone, metal, and wood in (i) hard edge flexible back; or (ii) hard edge tempered (i.e. toughened) back types, in any length, and of the following dimensions: (a) in widths between 6.35 mm (¼ in.) and 31.75 mm (1¼ in.) inclusive; and (b) with pitches between 3 and 32 teeth per 25.40 mm (1 in.), excluding scalloped teeth
84.23.011 Deter'n CURRENT DETERMINATION: Front end loaders, whether or not assembled, as defined by SAE Standard SAE J1057a (published in the Society of Automotive Engineers, Inc. Handbook) which cannot rotate through the horizontal plane without movement of the wheels with a static tipping load in full turn capacity up to and including 16 000 kg as measured to SAE Standard J732c. This measurement shall be applied to these loaders equipped to the normal standard specifications as offered for sale excluding tyre ballast 35 Aul 25 Pac Free .. 205509A 6/81

The identification reference to the application number indicates the office to which any objections should be made.

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing to the appropriate office as indicated by the identification reference on or before 3 March 1983. Submissions should include a reference to the identification reference, application number, Tariff item, and description of goods concerned and be supported by information as to:

(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported material used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
