Any local authority may in respect of any such money borrowed by it, issue stock or debentures at a discount provided that such discount shall not be such as to produce to any lender a yield which would exceed by more than 1 percent per annum the maximum interest rate as determined by the Board applicable for the term of the loan.

All sanctions to which this general determination applies shall be varied accordingly.

Consent to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the undersigned Deputy Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities, mentioned in the Schedule hereto, of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in the Schedule.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Amendment
Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated.
Number and Title of Specification
DZ 4504/A1 Draft Amendment No. 1 to NZS 4504:1981 Fire hose reels. Gratis.
This proposed amendment aligns the tolerances on diameter for both sizes of hose; it permits the design of a nozzle tailpiece more suitable for PVC hose; it also modifies the type-test requirements for the hose reel to measure its performance with respect to the water supply pressure at the inlet to the stopcock.
All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.
