The Road Classification (National Roads Board) Notice No. 1, 1983
PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974*, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, hereby give the following notice.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (National Roads Board) Notice No. 1, 1983.
- It is hereby declared, as requested by the National Roads Board, that the State highway as set out in the Schedule hereto shall belong to the class set out in the said Schedule.
- So much of the notice dated the 13th day of June 1980† which relates to the classification of the highway described in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

CLASSIFIED IN CLASS ONE
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno–Wellington via Gisborne): from the beginning of the said State Highway at Pokeno to Paeroa (RP 61/9.30).

- The Wairarapa South County Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.
- The notice dated the 11th day of October 1950† which relates to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY
Roads Classified in Class One
Norfolk Road: from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno–Wellington via Gisborne) to the western side of the Saleyards entrance.
Norman Avenue: from Waingawa Road to the Meatworks entrance.
Waingawa Road.
Roads Classified in Class Two
ALL roads under the control of the Wairarapa South County Council not otherwise named in this Schedule.
It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 16 March 1983 and pursuant to section 153 of the Public Works Act 1981, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 45, Ketemarae Road to Hawera section for half its width on the southern side across the frontages of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, of D.P. 13344 (certificates of title F4/383, 384, 385, and 386) as more particularly shown on Sheet 1 of plan L.A. 42/94/3 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, New Plymouth and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road—State Highway No. 2
It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 16 March 1983 and pursuant to section 153 of the Public Works Act 1981, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 2, Ormond to Makaraka section for half its width on the eastern side across the frontage of Lot 25, D.P. 2832 (certificate of title 4C/508) as more particularly shown on Sheet 1 of plan L.A. 31/12/2 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Gisborne and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Commercial Union Assurance Company of New Zealand Limited
Proposed Release of Deposit
THE Commercial Union Assurance Company of New Zealand Limited (herein called “the company”) has given notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on the business of life insurance in New Zealand and that pursuant to section 12 of the Life Insurance Act 1908 (herein called “the Act”) proposes to withdraw the deposit which has been made by it with the Public Trustee.
The Public Trustee therefore gives notice pursuant to section 12(2) of the Act that being satisfied that there is no amount of money insured or contracted to be paid by the company in or by the policies and other contracts issued, granted, or entered into in New Zealand by the company and still in force, he proposes to release to the company on or after 8 April 1983 the deposit made by it.
Any objections to the release of the deposit should be lodged with the Public Trustee, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on or before 7 April 1983.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975
PURSUANT to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that integration agreements have been signed between the Minister of Education and the proprietor of the following secondary schools.
Hato Paora College, ‘Parorangi’, R.D. 7, Feilding.
Roncalli College, Wellington Street, Timaru.
The said schools will enter into the State education system in accordance with the provisions of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975 with effect from 16 March 1983. Copies of the integration agreements are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the Department of Education, Head Office, Government Buildings, Lambton Quay, Wellington and at regional offices.
