A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was graciously pleased, by Letters Patent passed under the Seal of New Zealand, and bearing date the 28th day of October 1983, to provide that, whenever the office of Governor-General is vacant or the holder of the office is for any reason unable to perform all or any of the functions of the office, those functions should be performed by the Administrator of the Government:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General, the Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, is absent from the seat of Government and unable to perform all the functions of the office of Governor-General:

Now, therefore, I, the Right Honourable Sir Ronald Keith Davison, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Chief Justice of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that, having taken, in
