The Traffic (Taranaki County) Notice No. 1, 1983

NOTICE

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and pursuant to a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, hereby give the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Taranaki County) Notice No. 1, 1983.

The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

So much of the Traffic (Taranaki County) Notice No. 1, 1976, dated the 9th day of February 1976† and so much of the Traffic (Taranaki County) Notice No. 1, 1977, dated the 25th day of March 1977‡, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 which relate to the roads described in the Schedules hereto are hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Situated within the Taranaki County adjacent to New Plymouth City:

Junction Road: from the south-eastern boundary of New Plymouth City to a point 300 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said road from the said boundary (including the one-way bridge).

Mangorei Road: from Smith Road to Karina Road.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Situated within Taranaki County adjacent to New Plymouth City:

Junction Road: from a point 300 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said road from the south-eastern boundary of New Plymouth City (excluding the one-way bridge) to the No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth).
