Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Manawatu Licensing Committee


PURSUANT to section 221A and 221B of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Manawatu Licensing Committee on 23 March 1983 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Railways Hotel, Otaki.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows—

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday and Saturday and Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

The Water Recreation (Lake Hawea) Notice 1983


I, Beryl Ann Ranger, senior executive officer (harbours and foreshores), pursuant to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979* and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby give the following notice:


NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Lake Hawea) Notice 1983.

(b) This notice shall come into force 14 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette.

  1. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 7 (1) (a), 7 (1) (b), 7 (2), 8 (1) (a), 8 (1) (b), and 8 (2) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979, shall not apply to those areas as specified in the First Schedule.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL the waters of Lake Hawea, situated in Block 4, Lower Hawea Survey District, commencing at a point on the southern lakeshore 300 metres north-east of the Hawea Dam; thence out into the lake on a bearing of 320° for 200 metres; thence in an easterly direction parallel with the shore 200 metres distant to a point 200 metres from the shore in line with a northerly extension of Muir Road; thence to the lakeshore; as shown more particularly marked blue on plan M.D. 16140; excepting thereout the 2 swimming areas defined by marker posts on the lakeshore as shown more particularly marked red on plan M.D. 16140.

The said plan M.D. 16140 is deposited in the office of the Secretary for Transport at Wellington.


SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. Notwithstanding any other provision of this notice, no person who is permitted by any such provision to propel or navigate a small craft at a speed through the water exceeding 5 knots shall do so in any manner that is likely to endanger or unduly annoy any person who is in, on, or using the waters, or fishing, or undertaking any recreational activity in the vicinity of the small craft.

  2. All persons in charge of a vessel shall adhere to and keep the provisions of all other Acts and regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.

  3. A suitable notice as may be approved by the Regional Marine Officer, Ministry of Transport, Christchurch, shall be erected at sites deemed necessary by the Regional Marine Officer.

National Roads Board—Varying Notice of Declaration of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road—Part State Highway No. 45


PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works and Development, hereby gives notice that it varies the notice declaring State highway to be a Limited Access Road—Part State Highway No. 45, published in the Gazette, 3 March 1983, No. 26, page 574, by deleting “across the frontage of Lot 6, D.P. 527 (certificate of title E2/1300) as more particularly shown on plan L.A. 42/94/2” and substituting “across the frontages of Lots 1 and 2 D.P. 13499 (certificate of title F4/716 and 717 respectively) and of part Lot 6, D.P. 527 (certificate of title F4/718) as more particularly shown on plan L.A. 42/94/2/R1”.
