NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL
Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Mount Eden taken on the 6th day of August 1983, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $1,200,000 to be known as the Civic and Commercial Development Loan 1983, for the purpose of erecting a civic and commercial building resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1509
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1554
The number of information votes was 17
I therefore declare that the proposal was lost.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1951
GENERAL description of land to be taken: 4502 square metres, having a frontage of 90.02 metres and a depth of 50.002 metres, situated on the western side of Waikite Road just south of the City/County boundary and a short distance from the junction of State Highway 2 and Waikite Road.
Description of purpose for which land is to be used: the land is intended to be used as a site for Tauranga City water supply reservoirs.
The reasons why the taking of the land is considered essential; water supply is an essential work as defined in the Public Works Act 1981. The site chosen is essential having regard to levels and hydraulic gradients affecting water supply to Tauranga City.
Period for objections: persons objecting to this taking of land should send a written objection to the Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington, within 20 working days after the second publication of this notice.

NEW ZEALAND WOOL BOARD
Pursuant to regulation 15 of the Wool Industry Regulations 1978, notice is hereby given that the Adjusted Weighted Average Sale Price for the sale held on the 25th day of August at Timaru was 294.47 cents per kilogram (greasy basis).
As this price is below the Government’s supplementary minimum wool price of 320 cents per kilogram (greasy basis) the specified percentage for supplementation will be 8.7 percent for all wool sold at auction and nationally for privately sold wool from and including the 25th day of August 1983, until midnight on the day before the next auction sale to be held.
