TAKING OF LAND FOR STREET FOR MCINDOE PLACE, OFF QUEEN STREET, RICHMOND
PURSUANT to section 23 (1) (b) of the Public Works Act 1981, the Richmond Borough Council hereby gives notice that it intends to compulsorily acquire all that piece of land containing 399 square metres, having a frontage to Queen Street, Richmond, between the properties of Whytes (Nelson) Ltd. (308 Queen Street) and Brent Ferguson Motors Ltd. (310 Queen Street) being part section 83, District of Waimea East, and presently described in Nelson certificate of title 75/68. The property is at the Queen Street end of the metalled access way known as McIndoe Place leading through to McGlashen Avenue.
The property is to be acquired for and used as road. The taking of land is considered essential by the Borough Council to the legalisation, formation, and upgrading of McIndoe Place and to give effect to its District Planning Scheme. McIndoe Place is designated as a proposed street in both the borough’s operative District Scheme and the borough’s proposed Review No. 2 of the same. Futhermore, McIndoe Place is an essential access route to proposed service lanes and carparking areas provided for in the District Scheme and proposed Review No. 2.
Any person wishing to object to the proposed taking of land must send a written objection to the Town Clerk, Richmond Borough Council, 9 Cambridge Street, Richmond (Ref: 9/79/10) by the 7th October 1983.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council has made an application to the Minister of Health, pursuant to section 12 of the Clean Air Act 1972, to amend the Schedule to the Clean Air Zone (Christchurch) Order 1977 by including the following appliances and approved fuels:

- “Schooner Wood-Fire Stove” manufactured by the Pot Belly Stove Co. Ltd. Glenfield, Auckland. Wood with a moisture content not exceeding 25 percent (on wet weight). This being wood which has been cut and air dried usually for a period of not less than 3 months.
