Resumption of Land for Maniototo Irrigation Scheme

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 117 of the Land Act 1948, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, being of the opinion that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being the whole of the land comprised in a Deferred Payment Licence under the Land Act 1948, registered in the office of the District Land Registrar at Dunedin, as number 9A/1417, is required for a public purpose, namely, the purposes of the Maniototo Irrigation Scheme, hereby proclaim and declare that as from the 23rd day of August 1983 possession of that land is resumed and that as from that date the Deferred Payment Licence shall be determined.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—MANIOTOTO COUNTY AND SILVERPEAKS COUNTY

ALL that parcel of land containing 480 hectares, more or less, situated in the Land District of Otago and being Section 1, Block VI, Loganburn Survey District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 22nd day of August 1983.
