RATING DISTRICT
Classification under Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act
1941, of Land in the Southland Catchment District
NOTICE is hereby given that the land in the part of the Southland
Catchment District, described in the Schedule hereto has been
classified under the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941,
and the classification is deemed a valid classification as from the
date on which this notice is first published, namely 16th July 1983.
SCHEDULE
DEFINITION OF THE EWE BURN RATING DISTRICT
ALL the lands withing the Southland Catchment District, shown
edged in red on classification plan S.C.B. No. W. 66/5, deposited
for inspection during office hours at the Offices of the Southland
Catchment Board, Corner Price Street and North Road, Waikiwi.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR SOIL CONSERVATION
AND RIVER CONTROL PURPOSES IN TE AROHA BOROUGH AND
PIAKO COUNTY
NOTICE is hereby given that the Hauraki Catchment Board and
Regional Water Board proposes, under the provisions of the Public
Works Act 1981, to take for soil conservation and rivers control
purposes the land described in the Schedule hereto. Such land is to
be used for soil and water conservation works as part of the Waihou
Valley Scheme. Because of the severe risk of erosion and channel
instability in the area it is considered essential that the land be
taken to give Board the required control of the land and the freedom
to undertake all necessary works.
NOTICE
NOTICE is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required
to be taken is deposited in the offices of the Hauraki Catchment
Board and Regional Water Board situated at 59 Whitaker Street,
Te Aroha, is there open for inspection; that all persons directly
affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have an
objection to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to
the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection
and send it within 20 working days after the first publication of this
notice to The Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division,
Justice Department, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington and that,
if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public
hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise
requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place
of the hearing.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
THE land to taken adjoins the Haehaenga Stream, near Te Aroha,
on the Te Aroha-Shaftesbury Road and is owned and occupied by
Millicent Emma Rutherford, Arthur Albert Rutherford and Gloria
Dawn Rutherford.
All those parcels and land containing approximately 3.3670
hectares in total, being designated as "B", "C", and "D" on S.O.
Plan 51414, being 1.4200 hectares, part Section 14J, certificate of
title 880/180, 1.5170 hectares, part Section 14B1, certificate of title
180/112, and 4300 square metres, part Section 14 B1, certificate of
title 180/112, all in Block IX, Aroha Survey District.
