Tariff of New Zealand

THE above notice, which appeared in the Gazette, dated 14 July
and made under the authority of section 7 (2) of the Customs Acts
Amendment Act (No. 2) 1977 is amended as follows:

74.14.011 should read 70.14.011

The above amendment was effective on 15 July 1983 and is
incorporated in Tariff Amendment Set No. 3.

McKee Development Product Pipelines—
Notice of Application

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the provisions of the
Petroleum Act 1937, the Petroleum Corporation of New Zealand
(Exploration) Limited, has applied to the Minister of Energy for
pipeline authorisations to convey crude oil from the McKee
Production Station in North Taranaki to proposed storage tanks at
Omata, from Omata to ship loading facilities at Port Taranaki and
to convey natural gas from the McKee Production Station to a tie
in station on the Kapuni-Auckland natural gas pipeline at Tikorangi.

Copies of the applications can be inspected at the offices of the
New Plymouth City Council, Taranaki County Council, Clifton
County Council, Taranaki United Council, and the site office of the
Ministry of Works and Development, Pipeline Project, New
Plymouth.

Submissions on the proposal may be made within 30 days of the
date of this advertisement and should be sent to the Ministry of
Energy, Private Bag, Wellington.

The Water Recreation (Motueka River) Notice 1983

I, Beryl Ann Ranger, Senior Executive Officer (Harbours and
Foreshores), pursuant to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979*
and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8
and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby give the
following notice:

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Motueka River) Notice 1983.

(b) This notice shall come into force 14 days after its publication
in the New Zealand Gazette, and shall remain in force until further
notice.

  1. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto,
    regulation 7 (1) (b) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979 shall
    not apply to the area as described in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water in the Motueka River from the upstream
side of the State Highway No. 60 bridge over the said river, thence
upstream to the downstream side of the Peninsular Bridge near
Ngatimoti as more particularly shown coloured green on plan MD
16066, deposited in the office of the Secretary of Transport at
Wellington.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. Notwithstanding any other provision of this notice, no person
    who is permitted by any such provision to propel or navigate a
    small craft at a speed through the water exceeding 5 knots shall do
    so in any manner that is likely to endanger or unduly annoy any
    person who is in, on, or using the waters, or fishing, or undertaking
    any recreational activity in the vicinity of the small craft.

  2. All persons in charge of a vessel shall adhere to and keep the
    provisions of all other Acts and regulations not specifically exempted
    by this notice.

  3. A suitable notice as may be approved by the Regional Marine
    Officer, Ministry of Transport, Wellington, shall be erected at sites
    deemed necessary by the Regional Marine Officer.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licenced
Premises—Canterbury Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A and 221B of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962,
as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment
Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby
give notice that the Canterbury Licensing Committee on 24 June
1983, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of
trading for the licenced premises known as the Glenhyre Tavern.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licenced
premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general
public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises
shall be as follows:

(a) On any Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being New
Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and
closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning
and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s
Day.
