tions, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand
Navy

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excel-
lency, the Governor-General has approved the following
appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations,
and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Captain Neville Ross Win is placed on the Emergency List
of the RNZN until 21 April 1984, with effect from 22 April
1982.

Commander I. A. Hunter to be Captain with seniority and
effect from 22 April 1982.

Commander Kenneth Neil Cameron, M.B.E., is placed on
the Retired List with effect from 7 March 1982.

Commander Rodney Elliott Brown is placed on the Emer-
gency List of the RNZN until 5 May 1984, with effect from
6 May 1982.

The appointment of Chaplain T. D. Hill, L.TH., is extended
to 8 February 1984.

Lieutenant Commander C. R. Vennell, O.B.E., is extended to
28 April 1985.

Lieutenant Commander T. C. M. Raven, M.B.E., to be acting
Commander with effect from 30 April 1982, and his appoint-
ment is extended to 29 April 1985.

Lieutenant Commander B. Craig to be temp. Commander
with effect from 17 May 1982.

Lieutenant Commander Dennis David Davies is placed on
the Retired List with effect from 22 March 1982.

Lieutenant Commander A. W. Bullock to be Commander
with seniority from 31 January 1982 and effect from 28 June

Lieutenant Commander D. D. J. Pomeroy: with reference

Lieutenant G. T. Purcell to be acting Lieutenant Commander
with effect from 22 March 1982, and temp. Lieutenant Com-
mander with effect from 26 March 1982.

Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant Commander) J. M. Marriott
relinquishes the temporary rank of Lieutenant Commander
with effect from 10 May 1982.

Lieutenant M. G. Jackman, B.SC., B.COM., to be Lieutenant
Commander with seniority and effect from 20 May 1982.

The appointment of Lieutenant (on prob.) J. E. Dudley is
confirmed.

The appointment of Lieutenant (on prob.) P. A. Mullen
is confirmed, and his seniority as Lieutenant is antedated to

RESERVE

Lieutenant Commander Harold Billy Louth, V.R.D., is placed
on the Retired List of the RNZNVR with effect from 5 March
1982.

The appointment of Chaplain C. D. Blakie is extended to
3 March 1983.

The appointment of Lieutenant Christopher Edward Overy
is terminated at his own request with effect from 19 March
1982.

Simon Patrick McGuire, M.B., CH.B., is appointed to the
RNZNVR in the rank of Surgeon Lieutenant (on prob.)
with seniority from 30 November 1977 and effect from
3 June 1982.

The appointment of Sub Lieutenant Peter Ward Griffiths,
B.SC., is terminated with effect from 1 May 1982.
