THE BUILDING SOCIETIES ACT 1965
NOTICE UNDER SECTION 34 (3)

Notice is hereby given that the Canterbury Building Society,
whose registered office is 172 Cashel Street, Christchurch,
desires to unite with the Northern United Building Society
and that the first named society has applied to the Registrar
of building societies to confirm the union notwithstanding
that the consent in writing of the holders of two-thirds of
the whole number of shares in the said society has not been
obtained in the manner required by the Building Societies
Act 1965.

The application will be heard on the 3rd day of September
1982, at the Registrar's office.

Any person wishing to be heard on such application should
apply by letter to the Registrar of Building Societies, Govern-

Petroleum Act 1937, the undersigned has applied to the
Minister of Mines for a pipeline authorisation to convey
natural gas by pipeline from the trunk main in Great North
Road, New Lynn, to a regulator station to be sited at the
corner of Great North Road and Titirangi Road.

pursuant to section 70 (1) (a) of the Friendly Societies Act
1909, to the Registrar of Friendly Societies to cancel the
registration of Trafalgar, Ivy, Bud of Hope and Lily of
