49.4 Charges for loaded vehicles
Where goods are loaded on motor vehicles, charges at classified rates will apply to such goods in addition to the appropriate charge for the vehicle.
49.5 Handling
The Corporation may not undertake the loading and unloading, including roping and unroping, of motor vehicles to and from railway wagons and may require such services to be performed by the owners. Where, however, the Corporation elects to perform one or both of these services the cost of loading and/or unloading shall be deemed to be included in the rates prescribed in clause 49.1 irrespective of whether the vehicle is handled by crane, forklift, or driven on and/or off the railway wagon.
49.6 Liability
Motor vehicles shall be received, held, carried, delivered, or otherwise dealt with in accordance with the provision of the Carriage of Goods Act 1979.
49.7 Equipment on motor vehicles
Motor vehicles are deemed to include any equipment recognised as ordinary equipment of a motor vehicle including windscreen wipers, hub caps, and such articles as spare parts, wheels, tyres, accessories, and tools attached to or contained in the motor vehicle received for carriage. When motor vehicles are carried at other than “owner’s risk” particulars of such equipment must be set out on the consignment note and such equipment must be locked in the vehicle.

50.1 Charges for consignments under 250 kg
Fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, fresh mushrooms, and nuts grown and packed in New Zealand (including the Cook Islands or Niue) in consignments not exceeding 250 kilograms in weight shall be charged as follows:

50.2 Charges for consignments over 250 kg
Fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, fresh mushrooms, and nuts grown and packed in New Zealand (including the Cook Islands and Niue) in consignments exceeding 250 kilograms in weight shall be charged at rating class E plus 25 percent, subject to a minimum charge being the rate for 250 kg as prescribed in clause 50.1.
50.3 Domestic use
Fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, fresh mushrooms, and nuts grown and packed in New Zealand (including Cook Islands or Niue) forwarded for domestic use of the consignee shall be carried only under the provisions of clause 26.
