  1. PARCELS RATES

24.1 Ordinary parcels rates
Ordinary rates for parcels conveyed within or between the parcels zones specified in clause 24.6 shall be charged at weight or measurement whichever is greater as follows:

24.2 “Owner’s risk”
The rates in clause 24.1 are at “limited carriers risk” and will be reduced by two percent where consignors require that the consignment be carried at “owner’s risk”.

24.3 Short distance traffic between adjacent zones
Parcels consigned between two adjoining zones, except between zones 5 and 6, for a total distance not exceeding 50 kilometres, shall be charged at the rates for parcels consigned solely within one zone.

24.4 Terminal charge
In addition to the rates in clause 24.1, a charge of $1.20 for each 25 kilograms, or 0.30 cubic metres, or part thereof, shall be made for each parcel consigned to the following stations:

Auckland Palmerston North Christchurch
Hamilton Wellington Dunedin
New Plymouth Petone Invercargill
Hawera Lower Hutt
Wanganui Gracefield

24.5 Definition of rate keys
The rate keys specified in clause 24.1 define the charges applicable to parcels conveyed within a zone or between zones as follows:
