NOTE TO PART II OF THE TARIFF CONCESSIONS:
(1) RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS—
The undermentioned institutions have been approved in respect of scientific instruments or apparatus imported by or for these institutions, for the pure scientific research under Annexes C2 and D of the protocol to the UNESCO Agreement, provided that the following declaration is made by a responsible officer of the institution in respect of each importation;
(a) That the goods are of a kind covered by Annexes C2 and D of the protocol to the UNESCO Agreement and will be used only for the purposes mentioned in the Agreement
(b) That the goods will be used under the control and responsibility of the institution concerned
(c) That goods of equivalent scientific value are not being manufactured in New Zealand
