Notice is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of
the above-mentioned company by the High Court was, on the
21st day of May 1982, presented to the said High Court by
U.E.B. INDUSTRIES LIMITED of Auckland, merchants: and that
the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sit-
ing at Christchurch, on the 7th day of July 1982, at 10 o’clock
in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said
company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order
on the said petition may appear at the time of the hearing in
person or by his counsel for this purpose; and a copy of the
petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor
or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on pay-
ment of the regulation charge for the same.

carrying on business there and elsewhere as hotel
proprietors:

Notice is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of
the above-named company by the High Court was, on the 14th
day of June 1982, presented to the said Court by BRIAN JOSEPH
O’SHAUGHNESSY of Timaru, hotel manager; and the said petition
is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Timaru, on
the 5th day of July 1982, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and
any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to
support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition
may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel

NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF CLASSIFICATION LIST

CLASSIFICATION under Soil Conservation and Rivers Control
Act 1941 of land in the Heretaunga Plains Flood Control
Scheme—Punanga Drainage Improvement Scheme Area.
Amendments to the Classification of Land in the Heretaunga
Plains Flood Control Scheme Special Rating Area.

Notice is hereby given that—

(a) The land in the part of the Hawke’s Bay Catchment
District described in the Schedule hereto has been
classified under the Soil Conservation and Rivers Con-
trol Act 1941 and the classification is deemed a valid
classification as from the date on which this notice is
first published, namely the 23rd day of June 1982.

(b) The proportions in which rates are to be imposed under
that Act on the several classes of land are as follows:

Class Points
A 100
B 80
C 60
D 40
E 20
F 5
G Nil

(c) The classification list includes an apportionment by the
Value-General of the rateable value of the land in
those cases where portions of a piece of land are
classified in different classes.

(d) The classification list may be inspected at the Board’s
offices, 16 Vautier Street, Napier, during a period of
28 days hereafter.

(e) The classification list, as amended, is deemed to be a
special roll of ratepayers for the purposes of the
Local Authorities Loans Act 1956.

(f) Any person who is dissatisfied in respect of any matter
appearing in the classification list has the rights of
appeal provided for by section 103 of the Soil Con-
servation and Rivers Control Act 1941, as substituted
by section 18 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers
Control Amendment Act 1959, which rights and any
other right to commence proceedings affecting the
classification, must be exercised within 49 days here-
after. Appeals will normally be made to a District
Court, but appeals in respect of the method of
making or of the form or validity of the classification
as a whole may be made to the Administrative
Division of the High Court only.

(g) The classification has been made by Mr A. G. McKenzie.

(h) Copies of the instructions given by the board to the
classifier and of the resolutions of the board relative
to the classification may be inspected at the Hawke’s
Bay Catchment Board offices, 16 Vautier Street,
Napier, during the period specified in paragraph (d)
of this notice.

SCHEDULE

All that land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing
approximately 370 hectares being the majority of the land
which benefits from the Punanga Drainage Improvement
Scheme in the County of Hawke’s Bay. The area is generally
bounded in the west and north by the Ngaruroro River, and
in the south and east by the Clive River and No. 2 State
Highway. It is more particularly shown on the Hawke’s Bay
Catchment Board Plan 1737 and described in the Schedule
attached to the classification report.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO APPLY FOR LEAVE TO BRING IN A
BILL

Take notice that The Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral
Association, a society duly incorporated under the Agricul-
tural and Pastoral Societies Act 1908, is the promoter of The
Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association Empowering
Bill, a Private Bill which it intends to apply for leave to
introduce into the House of Representatives during the 1982
Session.

The objects of the Bill are to empower The Canterbury
Agricultural and Pastoral Association to grant leases of its
land and to sell and exchange its land in accordance with the
provisions contained in the Bill.

Communications or notices to The Canterbury Agricultural
and Pastoral Association may be sent to and a copy of The
Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Empowering Bill may
be inspected at, the offices of Messrs Weston Ward and
Lascelles, Barristers and Solicitors, Fourth Floor, 123 Worces-
ter Street, Christchurch 1.
