*1. Net of payments amounting to $141,443,723 made in terms of sections 156A, B, D, E, F, G, and 157A of the Income Tax Act 1976, and payments to the Accident Compensation Corporation amounting to $16,587,097 for advances of self-employed levy made in terms of section 82 of the Accident Compensation Act 1972. Levies of an as yet undetermined amount have been received and applied against those advances.

Tax collected by the N.Z. Post Office during the year but not paid into the Public Account by 31 March 1982 amounted to $14,050,041 compared to $43,093,422 at 31 March 1981.
