Amendments to the Rules of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Wildlife Act 1953, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice that he has approved the following new rules made by the Wellington Acclimatisation Society to stand in place of rules 6 and 18, respectively, as originally approved by the Minister of Internal Affairs on 4 March 1956 and amended in 1964, 1965 and 1972.
Rule 6—Only those persons who were members of the Society on the 10th day of February immediately preceding the date appointed for the holding of the annual general meeting shall be entitled to vote at any ballot for the election of officers of the Society, and for the purposes of every such ballot the register of members shall be closed as at the said 10th day of February.
Providing that persons becoming members of the Society after that date, shall, so long as they retain their qualifications and remain members be entitled to attend and (except in the case of persons appointed under section 27 (2) of the Wildlife Act 1953) to vote at all meetings of the Society.
Rule 18—The annual general meeting of the Society shall be held during the month of March in each year, and the Council shall at that meeting report on the activities of the Society during the last financial year and submit the annual report, balance sheet, and statement of accounts, for consideration.

Amendment to Rules of the West Coast Acclimatisation Society
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Wildlife Act 1953, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice that he has approved the following new rules made by the West Coast Acclimatisation Society to stand in place of rules 8 (2), 10, 30 and 32 (1), respectively, or originally approved by the Minister of Internal Affairs on 26 November 1956 and as amended on 30 April 1973.
Rule 8 (2)—At least 2 members of the Council shall be resident within the Buller sub-district comprising the County of Buller and the Borough of Westport and the remaining 13 members resident anywhere within the Society’s district.
Rule 10—Should there be a less number of nominations than those required to complete the representation from the Buller sub-district, the President shall at the annual general meeting first declare those duly nominated elected as members of the Council, and the annual general meeting shall then have power first, to elect a member or members from the sub-district in which the vacancy or vacancies occur, and failing the election of any such member or members, then, and in such case only, the annual general meeting shall elect any member or members of the society to fill such vacancy or vacancies.
Rule 30—All subscriptions and moneys payable to the society shall be paid to the secretary and/or treasurer, whose receipt shall be sufficient discharge therefore; all moneys so received shall forthwith be lodged in a bank to be nominated by the Council, to the credit of the society; the secretary and/or treasurer shall pay all accounts and money due by the society after the same (wages excepted) shall have been passed for payment by the Council. He shall keep proper books of account and shall enter all receipts and payments therein, and all payments shall be by cheque signed as the Council shall direct, and countersigned by the secretary and/or treasurer.
Rule 32 (1)—No person shall be capable of being elected or appointed to be or of being a member of the Council if he is concerned or interested (otherwise than as a member of an incorporated company in which there are more than 20 members and of which he is not the general manager or the managing director, by whatever names they are called) in any contract made by the society if the payment made or to be made by or on behalf of the society in respect of any such contract or contracts exceeds $100 in the case of any contract or $500 altogether in any financial year.

The Tasman Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1976
PURSUANT to section 20 of the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Energy hereby amends the Tasman Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1976* as amended by the amendment specified in the Schedule thereto by adding to the Second Schedule the following:
“3. A line from a point on the Board’s boundary in Section 39, D.P. 210, Block IV, Waimea Survey District and proceeding generally in an easterly and north-easterly direction for approximately 2250 metres joining a line authorised in the Lines Licence dated 28th April 1976 and published in the New Zealand Gazette 6 May 1976, at p. 1019, all being situated in Block IV, Waimea Survey District, and Block I, Maungatapu Survey District. The said line is more particularly shown on plan marked NZE 1030, deposited in the office of the Electricity Division of the Ministry of Energy at Wellington.”
