Revocation of the Appointment of Supervising Officer

I, Alexander King Ewing, Controller Marine Administration, pursuant to section 7 of the Harbours Act 1950, and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby revoke the appointment of

David William Le Marquand

to be a supervising officer for the Ministry of Transport, Northern Region, for the purposes of the Harbours Act 1950.

Declaring Land Taken for State Housing Purposes in the City of Wanganui

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken, subject to pipe line easement certificate 733584, for State housing purposes, pursuant to the Housing Act 1955, from and after the 21st day of January 1982.

Declaring Land and Easements Over Land Taken for Water Works in Block IX, Kaitawa Survey District, Borough of Kapiti

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for water works and shall vest in the Wellington Regional Council, from and after the 21st day of January 1982, and also hereby declares that an easement of perpetual right of way for ingress, egress and regress on foot, with or without implements and vehicles of every description loaded or unloaded by night as well as by day is hereby taken over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto and shall vest in the Wellington Regional Council from and after the 21st day of January 1982, and shall be appurtenant to the land described in the said First Schedule hereto and also hereby declares that a pipeline easement to lay and maintain water pipes and an overflow pipe to and from the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken under and through the land described in the Third Schedule hereto and shall vest in the Wellington Regional Council from and after the 21st day of January 1982, and shall be appurtenant to the land described in the said First Schedule hereto TOGETHER WITH the following full and free rights, liberties, licences and privileges in perpetuity, that is to say:

(i) The right to enter upon all or any of the said land described in the said Third Schedule hereto to lay construct repair renew and maintain all necessary pipes together with all pumping stations and ancillary fittings and works as shall be necessary for any of the purposes hereunder.

(ii) The right to enter upon any of the said lands from time to time and at all reasonable times by the said Council’s servants agents and workmen with all necessary tools instruments plant machinery and vehicles for the purpose of laying constructing and repairing and renewing and maintaining all or any of the said pipes or ancillary fittings.

(iii) The right to dig and break up the surface of the said land or any part thereof and generally to do and perform all acts and things which may be necessary or proper for any of the purposes herein mentioned but doing as little damage thereto as possible and restoring the land as nearly as possible to its original condition.
