Classes of Goods
Millstones, grindstones and the like (other than grinding wheels and discs, cutting-off wheels and diamond segmental “saws”; as may be determined by the Minister) of natural stone (agglomerated or not), of agglomerated natural or artificial abrasives, or of pottery, with or without cores, shanks, sockets, axles and the like of other materials, but without frame works; segments (other than segments for diamond segmental “saws”) and other finished parts of such stones, of natural stone, of agglomerated natural or artificial abrasives, or of pottery.
Cooking utensils and tableware of porcelain, china or of other pottery, viz:
Breakfast, dinner, tea and coffee sets, containing cups and/or mugs, and cups, mugs, cups and saucers, cups and saucers and plates, having a c.i.f. price of not less than $10.00 per kg; cooking utensils and other articles of tableware having a c.i.f. price of not less than $7.50 per kg.
Identifiable parts of jewellery known as jewellers’ findings including precious and base metal chain up to and including 2 mm in thickness, in measured form with or without fastening mechanisms; precious and base metal chain in length; items approved in terms of Part II of the Customs Tariff. The findings are for further manufacture or for repair work and are not for retail in the landed form.
Reeling or winding machines.
Card clothing.
Electrical starting and ignition equipment for internal combustion engines (including ignition magnetos, magneto-dynamos, starter motors and glow plugs) other than ignition coils and sparking plugs.
Ball cartridges, viz: .22 calibre rimfire having a c.d.v. of not less than NZ$20 per 1000 rounds.
Snow skis; grass skis.

Import Licence Tendering Scheme—Call for Tenders

PURSUANT to the Import Control Regulations 1973, Amendment No. 3 (S.R. 1980/246), the Secretary of Trade and Industry, acting under delegated authority is calling tenders for import licences for the goods specified below. These goods constitute Round Three. A repeat of Round Two goods, except for Apparel, plus 15 percent of some basic item codes containing consumer and other finished goods, and the closing time and date for tenders is 5 p.m. on 3 May 1982. Instructions for prospective tenderers and the general terms and conditions which apply to the submission and acceptance of tenders are set out in the New Guide to the Import Licence Tendering Scheme dated March 1982. Copies of this guide and redesigned tender forms may be obtained from the Department of Trade and Industry and the Customs Department. Tenders should be addressed to the Registrar, Import Licensing Tendering, Department of Trade and Industry, Private Bag, Wellington. Tenders for Round Three will be opened on 4 May 1982, and official results will be published in the New Zealand Gazette.

*Indicates that tenderers are required to complete the spare parts and servicing section of the redesigned tender form.

†Indicates that goods under the relevant tariff item if imported from and being the produce of Australia, do not require an import licence.

Note—

  1. Tenderers should refer to the Customs Tariff and the Import Licensing Schedule for a definitive description of the goods included in the list above.
  2. Tenderers should be conversant with the various statutes and regulations which importing enterprises are obliged to comply with, such as the Food and Drug Regulations 1973, safety standards, duties and sales tax, etc., where relevant.
  3. Tenderers are reminded to use a separate tender bid form for each licence unit bid for. Each bid should be sent in a separate envelope with the tender number marked outside.
