Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Nelson Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, John Fraser Robertson, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Nelson Licensing Committee on 22 February 1982, made an order authorising variation of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the D.B. Rutherford Hotel, Nelson.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows for the Jet Set Bar, Sportsman Bar, Hop Garden Bar and Bottle Store:

(a) On any Friday, Saturday, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows for the period 1 November to 31 March in each year:

(a) On any Friday and Saturday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Friday and Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve) and on Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock on the morning of New Year’s Day.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Paoa tribe.

Approval of Rear and Red Reflectors in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1976

PURSUANT to regulation 88 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purpose of regulations 62 (2), (3), (4) and (5) of the said regulations, rear and red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

RED reflectors incorporated in tail lamp assemblies manufactured by Hella New Zealand Ltd. or Hella Australia Pty. Ltd., having overall dimensions of 280 x 102 mm and containing the following marks:

(i) Hella.
(ii) Made in New Zealand (or Australia).

National Roads Board: Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 17 March 1982, and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 3, Kihikihi to Tc Kawa section, for half its width on the eastern side commencing 50 metres south of the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. S. 27919 (C.T. 26C/6) and extending south for 50 metres across the frontage of the said Lot 1 and of Lot 2, D.P. S. 27919 (C.T. 26C/7); as more particularly shown on Sheet 1 of Plan L.A. 22/44/3/1
