5. LONG DISTANCE RAIL PASSENGER SERVICES : GROUP TRAVEL CONCESSIONS

5.1 Gatherings of 20 or more

5.1.1 Concession and conditions: Tickets may be issued for travel by all long distance rail passenger services except the Silver Fern service at ordinary fares less ten percent to a group of at least 20 persons travelling from various stations to participate in a specific gathering or event (e.g. conference, competition, instructional, educational or recreational activity, etc.) and also to families of such persons who may be accompanying them.

5.1.2 Applications: Applications, specifying the dates between which the gathering or event will be held, and the name of the person who will sign certificates on behalf of the organising body, should be made to the General Manager of the Corporation not less than two months before the date of commencement of the gathering concerned.

5.1.3 Certificate: Each application for tickets must be supported by a certificate in the following form:
