NEW ZEALAND WOOL BOARD

PURSUANT to regulation 15 of the Wool Industry Regulations 1978, notice is hereby given that the Adjusted Weighted Average Sale Price for the sale held on 11 March 1982 at Invercargill was 268.76 cents per kilogram (greasy basis).

As this price is below the Government’s supplementary minimum wool price of 320 cents per kilogram (greasy basis) the specified percentage for supplementation will be 19.1 per cent for all wool sold at auction and nationally for privately sold wool from and including the 11th day of March 1982 until midnight on the day before the next auction sale to be held.

SPECIAL DEADLINES

In the week preceding Easter, the Gazette will be published a day early, on Wednesday, 7 April 1982. Deadlines will be:

For notices from Government departments noon, Monday, 5 April 1982, with Gazette Clerk.

For advertisements: noon, Tuesday, 6 April 1982, with the Government Printer.

Normal deadlines will apply in the week following Easter.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 20c per line.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

ELECTORAL ROLLS

Government Bookshops no longer handle the sale of Electoral Rolls. Inquiries should be directed to the Director-General, Post Office, Electoral Roll Control Centre, P.O.H.Q., Wellington.

The Style Book is a guide which is addressed to all writers, editors, and public servants who prepare manuscripts for publication by the Government Printing Office. Since 1958 the Style Book has found wide acceptance, both inside and outside the Public Service which is reflected in the number of reprints made since that date. This new edition incorporates the latest amendments based on experience gained since first published. Chapters dealing with the preparation of copy, abbreviations, and compound words have been revised; new material has been added to the chapters dealing with common names of animals and plants, errors in the use of English in official writing, and terms used in printing. The introduction of metrication has required a new chapter as well as amendments throughout the book.
