The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Amendment Available for Comment

PURSUANT to sub-section (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 6506/A Draft Amendment A to BS 5884: 1980 Methods of test for determination of d.c. magnetic properties of magnetic materials.

This draft amendment will place on record the declaration of BS 5884:1980 as a New Zealand Standard and informs the user that in New Zealand, the Physics and Engineering Laboratory of DSIR is able to carry out calibration of equipment used in these tests methods.

Copies of BS 5884: 1980 may be ordered from the Sales Section at $40.50 per copy. Amendment A gratis.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

DZ 6502/A1 Draft Amendment No. 1 to NZS 6502:1972 Metrication factors and tables for conversion to SI units. Gratis.

Amendment No. 1 will change the definitions for billion, trillion, and quadrillion to align with currently accepted usage.
