Declaring Land Taken for Portion of the Paeroa-Waihi Railway
at Waihi and Not Now Required for that Purpose to be Crown
Land
PURSUANT to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways
Corporation Act 1981 and section 42 of the Public Works Act 1981,
the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation
with the prior written consent of the Minister of Railways hereby
declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown
land, subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 8th day of June
1981.

Notice of Resolution to Vary Hours for Sale of Liquor at Trust
Premises—Invercargill Licensing Trust
PURSUANT to section 35B of the Invercargill Licensing Trust Act
1950, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give
notice that the Invercargill Licensing Trust on 25 October 1982
resolved to vary the usual hours for the opening and closing for the
sale of liquor of its premises known as the East End Friars Liquor
Barrel, situated at Tay Street, Invercargill.
To the intent that on days other than those on which the premises
are required to be closed for the sale of liquor, the hours for the
opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Open-
ing at 10 a.m. and closing at 7 p.m.
(b) On any Friday and Saturday. Opening at 10 a.m. and closing
at 10 p.m.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed
Premises—Wellington Licensing Committee
PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as
amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act
1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give
notice that the Wellington Licensing Committee on 19 November
1982 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of
trading for the licensed premises known as the Stokes Valley Motor
Inn Limited.
To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed
premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the gen-
eral public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said
premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Friday and Saturday—Opening at 11 o'clock in the
morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the evening.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard
Specification Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act
1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand
standard specification is being circulated.
Number and Title of Specification
DZ 6211/A Draft Amendment A to AS 1430:1976 Household
refrigerators and freezers.
This draft amendment will place on record the declaration of AS
1430:1976 as a New Zealand Standard with New Zealand amend-
ment. When published NZS 6211 will supersede NZS 2167:1967.
As 1430:1976 is a metric standard whereas NZS 2167:1967 is not.
The procedure for the calculation of volume of refrigerator and
freezer compartments in AS 1430:1976 is more comprehensive than
in NZS 2167:1967.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard
Specification Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act
1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand
standard specification is being circulated.
Number and Title of Specification
DZ 3620 Scaffold planks §5
This draft standard establishes requirements for scaffold planks
intended for use as a working platform on scaffolding for building,
construction, and maintenance purposes.
Minimum requirements are set out for all one-piece or glued lam-
inated timber planks. Although mainly concerned with the manu-
facture of timber scaffold planks, the test procedures and the tests
set out would in principle be applicable for the determination of
the strength of a scaffold plank of any material. When published,
NZS 3620 will supersede NZS 1426:1965.
All persons who may be affected by this publication and who
desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price shown
from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade
Centre, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.
