The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification
DZ 5434 Code of practice for LPG vehicle refuelling stations. $5.

This draft code of practice has been compiled to provide planning information, procedures and guidance on the establishment of LPG vehicle refuelling stations.

The draft includes information on the procedure for setting up a station, the requirements of an adequate site and the location of equipment and facilities on that site. It also includes information on materials, electrical requirements, necessary safety provisions both for staff and equipment, refuelling arrangements and details of staff training.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

NOTE—Payment must accompany all requests for drafts. The closing date for receipt of comment is 18 February 1983.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned New Zealand standard specifications have been recommended for revocation pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965.

Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke these standards specifications, and who wishes to object to their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington, not later than 9 December 1982.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification
DZ 6209 2-pin and 3-pin plugs, 3-pin plug sockets and accessories with 20 A 250 V a.c. (maximum) rating. $10.

This 3-part draft Standard specifies safety and manufacturing requirements for 2-pin and 3-pin flat-pin plugs, plug sockets, and accessories for appliances for 250 V a.c. 20 A maximum rating:

Part 1 covers non-rewirable 2-pin plugs rated at up to 10 A, and non-rewirable 3-pin plugs rated at up to 20 A, and rewirable 3-pin plugs rated at up to 20 A;

Part 2 covers switched or unswitched plug sockets rated at up to 20 A for 3-pin mating accessories;

Part 3 covers other accessories.

Functional requirements for assemblies of combinations of specified accessories are given. When published, the Standard will replace NZS 198:1967 and NZS 2147:1967.
