Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing to the appropriate office as indicated by the identification reference on or before 18 November 1982. Submissions should include a reference to the identification reference, application number, Tariff item and description of goods concerned and be supported by information as to:
(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported material used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.

Notice by Examiner of Commercial Practices of Consent to Merger and Takeover Proposals
PURSUANT to section 70 of the Commerce Act 1975, notice is hereby given that the Examiner of Commercial Practices has, subject to subsection (9) of that section, consented to the following merger and takeover proposals, being merger and takeover proposals which also require consent under the Overseas Investment Act 1973 and the Overseas Investment Regulations 1974*.
Persons by or on behalf of whom notice was given in terms of section 68 (1) of the Commerce Act 1975
Spedding Consolidated Ltd. . . . . Boustead (New Zealand) Ltd., may acquire the assets of International Foods (1976) Ltd.
Thomas Cook Pty. Ltd. . . . . Thomas Cook Pty. Ltd., and Union Travel Ltd., may merge their New Zealand and Pacific interests
