Extending the Time Within Which Commission of Inquiry into Air Traffic Control Services May Report

ORDER IN COUNCIL

To all to whom these presents shall come, and to:

AIR MARSHALL SIR RICHARD BRUCE BOLT, K.B.E., C.B., D.F.C., A.F.C., of Wellington, formerly Chief of Defence Staff;

HENRY PIET VAN ASCH, C.B.E., of Hastings, Company Chairman; and

EDWIN IAN ROBERTSON, C.B.E., of Tawa, formerly Director-General of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research:

GREETING:

WHEREAS, by Order in Council made on the 19th day of July 1982*, you, the said Sir Richard Bruce Bolt, Henry Piet van Asch, and Edwin Ian Robertson were appointed to be a Commission of Inquiry to inquire into and report upon the adequacy of air traffic control services operated by the Ministry of Transport throughout New Zealand and, in particular, at the Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch International Airports:

And whereas by the said Order in Council you were required to submit your findings and opinions on the matters aforesaid not later than the 29th day of October 1982:

And whereas it is expedient that the time for so reporting should be extended as hereinafter provided:

Now, therefore, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting pursuant to the Commissions of Inquiry Act 1908, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby extend until the 30th day of November 1982 the time within which you are so required to report without prejudice to the continuation of the liberty conferred on you by the said Order in Council to report your proceedings and recommendations from time to time if you should judge it expedient so to do, and hereby confirm the said Order in Council and the Commission thereby constituted, save as modified by these presents.

Appointment of Members of the New Zealand Council for Postgraduate Medical Education

PURSUANT to section 3 of the New Zealand Council for Postgraduate Medical Education Act 1978, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint:

Linsell Donald Richards, M.B., Ch.B., 1953, U.N.Z., D.L.O., R.C.P.(LOND.) and R.C.S.(ENG.) 1969 F.R.C.S.(ENG.) 1970, F.R.A.C.S. 1971;

Richard Peter Gordon Rothwell, M.B., Ch.B., 1953, U.N.Z., M.R.C.P.(LOND.) 1959, M.R.A.C.P. 1961,

to be members of the New Zealand Council for postgraduate medical education for a period of 2 years from the 1st day of April 1982.
