The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification—
DZ 4121 Design for access by disabled persons—
Public buildings and facilities. $6.

This draft standard code prescribes the functional design of public buildings and of parking facilities so that they will be accessible by people with physical disabilities. The buildings or premises are those to which the Local Government Act 331 (2) and section 25 of the Disabled Persons Community Welfare Act 1975 apply.

The draft is a revision of NZS 4121: Part 1:1971 and Part 2:1975.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

NOTE—Payment must accompany all requests for drafts.

The closing date for receipt of comment is 1 March 1983.
